Adults, couples and groups
Life can present many challenges and some of them will push us to our limits and beyond. At these times, reaching out for help is one of the best steps you can take. Counselling can help you gain a better understanding of the situation you find yourself in. It can support you in building your resilience and your inner resources, so that you feel equipped to deal with whatever life throws at you.
I am a British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) registered/accredited counsellor who has been helping people for over 25 years. I have worked in various capacities with individuals from many different backgrounds and have seen how the counselling process can transform lives. I offer short-term and longer-term support.
Alongside being a counsellor, I am also a certified poetry therapist, accredited with the International Federation for Biblio/Poetry Therapy in the USA.
I have extensive experience of working with individuals who struggle to manage their stress/ anxiety and the impact this has on their relationships. I am author of Writing for Resilience a workbook that is designed to improve your resilience and wellbeing through poetry and self-reflective writing.
I am also interested in working with couples to help them look closely at the dynamics of their relationship and decide what changes are necessary so they both feel heard and understood.
