I am a psychodynamic counsellor and psychotherapist providing therapy sessions for adults in Enfield and North London. I work under the professional frameworks of the British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists and the British Psychoanalytical Council. I mainly work in person and online with individuals affected by current or early life traumas such as the loss of a loved one, sexual abuse, physical abuse and emotional neglect. I also work with parents of trauma who are struggling in their relationships with their children. I am experienced with long-term, open-ended therapy; however, I also offer short term therapy for specific outcomes. Talking therapy plays a crucial role in supporting you to understand how 'your' trauma has impacted your psychological well-being. The psychodynamic approach enables you to gain in-depth self-awareness of your thoughts, feelings and behaviours in a non-judgmental and confidential setting, supporting you in working through your difficulties and making sense of your situation.
I have a specialist interest in working with individuals suffering with the symptoms of trauma, such as depression, anxiety, self-destructive behaviours and relationship difficulties.
